Michelle Turner

2020–2022 Postdoctoral Scholar

Michelle Turner (Ph.D. Binghamton University, 2019) is Crow Canyon’s inaugural Postdoctoral Scholar. She studies Chaco Canyon and its outliers, focusing particularly on Aztec Ruins. Her Ph.D. dissertation was on her research at the Aztec North great house. Her work at Crow Canyon focuses on the Wallace Great House, part of the Lakeview Community. Michelle focuses on architecture, ceramics, and other material culture to understand relationships between Chaco and its outliers to the north.
