Today, Pueblo people live in numerous pueblos in northwestern New Mexico and northeastern Arizona.

In New Mexico, Pueblo people live in 19 pueblos located along the Rio Grande and in areas to the west.

Pueblo people in Arizona live in 13 pueblos on the Hopi mesas. There are three Hopi mesas. They are called First Mesa, Second Mesa, and Third Mesa. The pueblo of Oraibi, located on Third Mesa, was founded about A.D. 1100 and is still inhabited today! It is one of the oldest continuously occupied settlements in the United States.

In addition, one group of Pueblo Indians moved from New Mexico to Texas during the Pueblo Revolt. Today, their descendants live in a pueblo along the Rio Grande in the west part of Texas. The name of this pueblo is Ysleta del Sur.
