Learning from the Human ExperienceCrow Canyon is an experiment in how to do archaeology like archaeologists in the world have never been able to do—to sustain a long-term research program to really find out what happened in history. And Crow Canyon in its 26 years has been successful in doing that. Stuart Struever Crow Canyon founder Stuart Struever expressed these thoughts last year in an interview included in the introduction to the Crow Canyon video Learning from the Human Experience, a lively montage of photos, film, and interviews that presents Crow Canyon's mission, history, and passion for sharing its research with learners of all ages. Through interviews with current and former staff, board members, Native American Advisory Group members, and students, the video reveals the heart of Crow Canyon—the people and the landscape—and how the Center developed from its humble beginnings in government-issue trailers to the nationally recognized organization that it is today.
