Site Reports and Databases

Publishing the results of our fieldwork and laboratory analyses is fundamental to meeting our professional and ethical obligations as archaeologists (see Archaeological Ethics and Law).

To meet these obligations, Crow Canyon reports the results of its archaeological excavations in a series of site reports and databases. Since publishing our first site report in book form in 1993, we have developed a series of interactive, electronic site reports and databases. Making these accessible on the Internet has allowed us to disseminate far more information to a much wider audience than was possible using traditional publishing technology.

The box on this page contains links to Crow Canyon’s field excavation projects (this list is repeated in the navigation bar on the left-hand side of the screen under "Publications, Site Reports and Databases"). When you click on a link, you will go to a page that lists and describes the various publications available for that project. From there, you will be able to access online publications or go to a page with ordering information (for publications available in print).

Also included in this list is the interactive multisite research database, which is a compilation of excavation and artifact data for multiple sites excavated by Crow Canyon.
