Five-Day Archaeology Program
For School Groups

For Middle and High School Students*

In this five-day, six-night program, students learn the basics of Pueblo Indian history, work with artifacts in a real archaeological laboratory, and excavate at a simulated site representing one of three different time periods in Pueblo history.

Other highlights include making their own pottery vessels (using traditional Pueblo tools and techniques) and participating in a variety of "ancient lifestyle" activities at our pithouse and pueblo learning centers. Three tours—of a Crow Canyon excavation site, the Anasazi Heritage Center, and Mesa Verde National Park (a World Heritage site)—round out the week.

This is a great program. It is well-conceived, well-organized, and well-run. The material is perfectly leveled for our 5th graders.

Excellent program! We covered a lot of ground in one week, and the programs/classes kept the kids engaged.
