What to Expect

Travel

The entire trip takes place at high altitudes, ranging from 8,000 to 12,000 ft (Cusco is 10,912 ft). Travel is by private vehicle, train, and shuttle bus. Our pace will be leisurely and assistance will be given, but you must be comfortable standing and walking for several hours at a time. Unforeseeable circumstances are always possible when traveling in remote regions, and the itinerary is subject to change.

Accommodations

Most nights are spent in first-class lodgings. Some hotels in remote areas are basic, but clean and comfortable. Tuition is based on shared accommodations. Single accommodations are available for an additional fee of $650.
