Explorations Coordinator (Full-time)

Designs, plans, coordinates, and leads premier educational outdoor travel seminars for adults and families. Works collaboratively with other program developers, assists in development of a program mix that strategically aligns with department goals/objectives. Actively contributes to marketing and sales activities, and supports the organization’s advancement efforts through the development of excellent customer relationships.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and min 3 years experience in archaeology, anthropology, or American Indian history with an emphasis on SW U.S. or equivalent education and experience in related field of study. Must have experience in planning/organizing/conducting multi-day tours in urban, rural, and/or backcountry settings and working with people and a keen interest in culture, geography, history. Ability to conduct high-level research, produce professional program content, provide excellent customer service and implement risk management protocols

Community Engagement Coordinator (Full-time)

VISTA will build capacity of Crow Canyon Archaeological Center to reduce poverty through creating local community partnerships that support quality education that highlights local heritage, cultures, and landscapes in SW CO. Majority of time will be spent on partnership building, project planning, fundraising and co-development of a community-based three-year strategic plan. Position will be filled by an AmeriCorps*VISTA member. To qualify, you must be a US citizen, US national or lawful perm. resident, be team-oriented, and willing to take on a wide range of challenges. Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree, 1-3 yrs experience or 1+ in  community engagement, fundraising, grant writing, education, and leadership. Demonstrated success in project planning/management, prior non-profit in rural settings, and basic knowledge of how to conduct funding research is desired.  Benefits and Pay: Choice of Education Award ($5815) or End of Service Stipend ($1,803) upon completion of service, Health Coverage, Living Allowance is $12,312 ($1,026 per month)*, Professional Development/Training and rent-free housing. Service Term: 11/01/2018- 11/02/2019
