Castle
Rock Pueblo: A Trip Through Time is an educational field trip that allows readers to "visit" an ancient
Pueblo Indian village. Castle Rock Pueblo is described in three
time periods: the late 1200s, when Castle Rock was occupied by Pueblo
Indians; the late 1800s, when the site was first documented by U.S.
government explorers; and the late 1900s, when Castle Rock became
the subject of Crow Canyon's scientific investigation. Castle
Rock Pueblo: A Trip Through Time was designed primarily for
middle school students; however, it is useful for students of all
ages as a good introduction to the site and its history.
