Love of Learning: a Legacy Foundation Gift Reflects Decades-Old Friendship
The exploration and understanding of a place—its unique history, landscape, and culture—made up the core of Stephen (Steve) Seay’s teaching philosophy. “Place-based learning” he called it, and for him, that meant hands-on education out of the classroom. Steve, a beloved science teacher at St. Mark’s School of Texas, passed away in 2012, but the legacy of his love of learning and the outdoors continues today through the Stephen M.
