Experiential Learning for School Groups,
Grades 4–12

Whether excavating at a real or simulated archaeological site, "experiencing" seventh-century Pueblo Indian life at our Pithouse Learning Center, or touring the magnificent cliff dwellings at Mesa Verde National Park, students in Crow Canyon's school programs learn by doing!

Developed in consultation with American Indians, these hands-on programs improve scientific literacy and foster critical-thinking skills, while teaching a part of American history that is too often excluded from textbooks.

To learn more, watch the video on this page. "Learning from the Human Experience" will introduce you to Crow Canyon and its educational philosophy; the video includes students participating in school group programs.

This was a fantastic program! The classes were well developed, with clear learning targets and active student participation. The instructors are very informative and helpful.
