Crow Canyon as a Resource for
American Indians
For American Indians interested in archaeology or education, or both, Crow Canyon is a resource for individuals, schools, and entire communities.
The results of our long-term research into the Pueblo people of the Four Corners region are published on our Web site for all to access, and knowledge derived from that research is incorporated into a variety of online educational materials.
American Indian school groups are encouraged to attend on-campus programs to learn about archaeology, history, and culture.
American Indian educators attend Crow Canyon workshops, where they learn activities and experiential education methods that can be adapted to classrooms in their home communities.
Crow Canyon encourages the use of its campus by American Indian groups for their own conferences, field trips, and language and cultural preservation workshops. Crow Canyon's beautiful, rural setting and proximity to numerous sites of historical and cultural significance create an ideal atmosphere for group discussion and reflection.
