Welcome to the Crow Canyon Intern Network

Intern working in the field.

Dear Interns,

Welcome! We hope you will take advantage of (and enjoy!) the opportunities you have to connect with Crow Canyon via our Web site, Facebook page, eNews, and print newsletters. Keep an eye on this Web page, and be sure to head to Facebook regularly. And, we want to hear from you! Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions, information, exciting news, or just want to reconnect. Also, if you are ever in our area, you are always welcome to visit; we'd love to see you again!

In 2010, we sent a survey to intern alumni to find out where they are and what they are doing. The results were very impressive! (If you didn’t receive a survey, click on the link to the right to download it.) Many of you are doing really spectacular things, and we’re looking forward to sharing those accomplishments. For now, though, here are some interesting statistics:

  • Our survey was sent to 145 interns, and 27 answered.
  • Of those who replied (and others who have kept in close contact over the years), we know that 22 have obtained a Ph.D., ten more are Ph.D. candidates, five are professors or assistant/adjunct professors, and more than a dozen are working in the field (mostly at cultural resource management firms).

Again, be sure to visit this page often as we’ll continue to add more content, such as more survey results, interviews with outstanding intern alumni, news about the Intern Network or Crow Canyon, opportunities to get involved with our programs, and other activities. You can also anticipate getting periodic correspondence from us, so if you’d like to receive this correspondence (or if you’d like to receive our eNews), just email me and I’ll sign you up!

Stay tuned!
