Crow Canyon Community

People make Crow Canyon a special place.

When the Crow Canyon Archaeological Center was founded in 1983, it consisted of a small group of friends dedicated to what seemed an improbable dream in an unlikely place: the building of a national research and education center on a rural campus in southwestern Colorado.

More than 25 years later, Crow Canyon has grown to include a much larger and broader community that extends far beyond the campus borders and welcomes all who share the founders' dream. In addition to a diverse staff, this community includes an active board of trustees, a dedicated and growing cadre of donors, a group of Native American advisors, and numerous colleagues with whom we regularly partner to further our mission in research, education, and collaboration with American Indians.
