We visited many interesting sites on the Mesa Verde camping trip. We had the opportunity to see fantastic cliff dwellings as well as spectacular views of different canyons. In addition to this, we had a ranger-guided tour of one of the ruins. At Spruce Tree House, another cliff dwelling, we were allowed to enter a reconstructed kiva. This experience was fascinating, and it made all of the things we learned more significant and added more meaning to the activities that we did in the field and in the lab. Crow Canyon does more than just teach archaeology. It allows you to apply knowledge in real-life situations and shows you the information you learn in action. This is unlike traditional learning where you may not be given the opportunity to practice the skills that you've been taught.
