The facilities at the Crow Canyon campus help make High School Field School an excellent program. The rooms are shared by three to six people, with ample space for storing everything. The library and porch are always available for people to hang out in large groups.

The bathroom facilities are incredible. There are enough showers, sinks, toilets, and mirrors so that there is never a wait.

Enjoying a meal in the lodge

Three fresh meals are served daily. For breakfast, fruit, bagels, and cereal are always available. A typical breakfast also includes food like potatoes and scrambled eggs.During lunch and dinner, the delicious salad bar is always an option. Possible lunches and dinners include pasta, barbequed chicken, or burritos.

The HSFS students receive a schedule of the organized activities for the full three weeks. These activities include: lab work, pottery making, beading, a lifestyles course, lectures, and excavation. On most evenings there is a group activity. Many intriguing speakers from the area come to share their insights about life, archaeology, or their personal past through slide shows, lectures, and discussions.

There is always ample free time during the day to utilize the beautiful, well-maintained nature trail, volleyball net, basketball hoop, and library, which is full of books, magazines, board games, and the piano. The HSFS students become friends almost immediately upon arrival and enjoy spending every minute of the day with each other. The students are drawn together by a common interest and a desire to learn as much as possible.
